Centara Hotels & Resorts is one of Asia’s leading operators of hotels, with a portfolio covering, Thailand, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, The Maldives, Mauritius and Indonesia (Bali).   Brands and properties within Centara ensure that specific categories such as couples, families, individuals, and meetings and incentives groups will all find a hotel or resort that is appropriate to their needs.



Due to strong growth within the region our sales reach will be expanded to include a new regional sales office in Jakarta and we are looking for smart, enthusiastic, creative and hard working individuals to fill the following vacancy and join the Centara family.



DIRECTOR OF SALES

(Jakarta Based)



The Jakarta based Director of Sales will take overall responsibility for the day to day running of the office and managing the local sales team. As the key sales person they must create and execute a sales plan in line with the goals and objectives that will be set out and will be very much hands-on in all areas.

Responsibilities


  • Ensures the efficient and effective management of the regional sales office towards the attainment of the overall objectives
  • Develops strategies for forecasting and analyzing sales needs and developing effective product responses, delivery systems and methods of measuring and evaluating results
  • Plans, develops and executives marketing plans to provide direction and a specific plan of action
  • Develops new and/or improved products to improve the competitiveness and maximize profitability
  • Develops implements and evaluates short-term tactics and long-range sales plans and programs focused on customer needs and expectations
  • Identifies and researches practical and academic trends as they related to local market conditions
  • Provides direction, leadership and support to division associates; plans, supervises and evaluates their work; develops, communicates and enforces policies, priorities, procedures and administrative standards; provides training and creates opportunities for growth and development; defines job authorities, assigns accounts and market segment responsibilities; sets individual goals and establishes standards of performance; approves all personnel action


 Requirements

  • Bachelor or Master Degree in related field
  • Minimum 5 years in Sales & Marketing with at least 3 years in a senior management role
  • A good understanding of domestic travel and international outbound travel
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to supervise and motivate
  • A flexible approach to working hours and able to travel as needed



SALES MANAGER

(Jakarta Based)

Based in the Jakarta regional sales office and reporting to the Director of Sales the Sales Manager will be the face of Centara within the industry as they promote the brand to the appropriate target markets ensuring that no opportunity is overlooked. As this role covers all Centara Hotels & Resorts properties for both domestic travel and overseas travel the variety of work will be inspiring and rewarding.

Responsibilities

  • Implements all sales action plans relate to his/her zoning areas as directed
  • Plan sales call activities under the direct approval of Director of Sales to major marketing areas, calling on existing and potential accounts within their specific areas
  • Provide information on changing market conditions, including trends in the competition.
  • To achieve sales objective and goals to generate maximum high yield in accordance with the specific sales action plan
  • Cover market segments as directed and assigned by Director of Sales
  • Put into practice all training received relating to job knowledge and skills and the hotel’s culture.


Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in related field
  • Minimum 2 years in similar position (knowledge of both domestic and international outbound markets)
  • Strong administrative skills, along with excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • A strong team player who is results orientated and not put off by hard work 


SALES COORDINATOR

(Jakarta Based)

Based in the Jakarta regional sales office and reporting to the Director of Sales the Sales Coordinator is the heart of the office covering the main administrative duties whilst the sales team are on the road. In additional to regular tasks the Sales Coordinator will also work on any special projects and maintain the office environment.

Responsibilities

  • Recording sales and order information and sending copies to the sales office
  • Gaining a clear understanding of customers' businesses and requirements
  • Making accurate, rapid cost calculations, and providing customers with quotations
  • Maintaining customer records, sales visit records and sales volumes generated
  • Preparing estimates and quotations for customers
  • Drawing up tender documents or contracts

Requirements

  • Minimum 2  years in similar  administrative or secretarial position
  • Strong administrative skills, along with excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Hard working, organized and reliable are key attributes
